Antique Chinese porcelain Tek Sing plate 19thC

Excellent study piece! A large porcelain plate from the Tek Sing Ship Wreck of 1822,measures 15.5cm wide.Well decorated with Chinese flowers in compatments with a central swirl in a stylised design typical of South East Asian export wares made in Swatow China.No serious damage,two small edge rim chips with no hairlines,no repairs and no restoration.Some residues from the wreck and sea,few scratches.It has authentic Tek Sing sticker from the Nagel sale.

The ship (Chinese \"Junk\") named \"Tek Sing\",means true star,sank early in 1822 during a storm while bound for Batavia-Indonesia from China,with 1800 lives lost it is the largest maritime disaster ever.This huge ship was discovered by treasure hunter and salvage expert Mike Hatcher in 1999 and cargo saleed off by Nagel in Germany in 2000.
