Blade details:
The blade was totally hand-forged in an ancient way. Full tang and sharpened.it is named Damascus steel(folded steel) by western fans which is forged & folded base on 1060 steel. AISI 1060 carbon has 1.24-1.64 impurity in it, it will decrease the strength of the material and making quenching process uncontrollable. it was folded& forged about 12-13 times to remove impurity , tmaking it harder and more flexibility .because of the processing, it leaves special grain on the blade.they look very clear and nice.Generally,a damascus blade has more than 8000 layers.
This blade was hand polished with multi-grade sharpen stone ,making a reflective surface. it is also very sharp
Blade comes with a full length Tang which enhances the strength while wielding,quelified to cut off a bottle size bamboo.
Mounting detailsTsuba: The Tsuba (guard) is made of alloy. The Habaki (blade collar) is a one piece brass . Two Seppas (spacer) secure the Tsuba.Tsuka: The Tsuka (handle) core is hard wood and it is wrapped with genuine stingray skin,tied with synthetic silk Ito. ★acid engraving is used for complicate icons and engraving machine is used for a name or simple letters .
★customer provided pictures must be clear and clean.it will take 7-10 day to finish a blade with complicate engravings.
★colored blade or blade with groove is not suitable for engraving.

\"rayskin\" ( shagreen) is kind or fish skin taken from specific species of stingray or shark. It has been used on Sword since Tang dynasty(A.D.681-A.D.907) due to its roughness which helps itos from slipping.six colors is available.
SYNTHETIC SILK TSUKA-ITO for choosing(Free)
TSUKA-ITO is the cord tied on the handle of Japanese swords,aiming aesthetic and function.and it helps reinforce the tsuka and add friction to it.
