C 1930s Art Deco Men's Shoes Spats German Military Officer? Gangster Capone For Sale
c 1930s ART DECO Men's shoes SPATS German military officer? GANGSTER Capone
Great pair of Art Deco spats, probably circa the 1930s, purchased via Germany, and may have been from a Germany military officer's uniform. Made of wool, leather trim and an elastic material. The color is a dark charcoal (darker than it looks in most photos).
One has part of the original label on the inside.
Basically, a man's "one size fits all": the elastic stretch allows these to fit most sizes/shoes. (I bought them with the intention of wearing them, but I don't go to enough fun places anymore. I wear a 9 to 9 1/2 U.S., or 42 to 43 in EU sizing.)Approx. 8.75 inches long x 5 inches high along the snaps (22 x 13 cm).
Weighs approx.110 grams.
Great used condition. Signs ofwear/use, as to be expected, including some discoloration/fading to the bottom elastic straps from use/walking, and an old repair(see the thread repair around the 2 o'clock position in photo #4; the blue patch in the last photo is the reverse/inside of the repair). Please supersize the photos to fully appreciate and inspect this great design.
