C1850 Meissen Footed Cabinet Cup And Saucer - A/f For Sale

Previously listed and sold but returned.

Please read the description carefully and note the damage to this cup and saucer.

This is a 19c flower encrusted cabinet cup and saucer from Meissen dating c1850 in ‘as found’ condition.

The cup is 2 ¾ inches/7cm high and the saucer is 5 ¼ inches/13.5cm wide. Both pieces are on six small feet. They are hand decorated with applied flowers and leaves. The hand decoration is very good but there are losses to the flower tips and the leaves typical of this type of decoration. The cup has one small rim chip and associated hairline which could easily be restored. The saucer has been broken in several places and reglued and there is one tiny piece missing. Despite the damage this is a lovely cabinet cup and saucer with some life still left in it!

It has the blue crossed swords of Meissen under the glaze. If you require more photographs please email me through messages.
