C.1850's Paisley Cotton Dress With Great Pagoda Sleeves- Maternity?:
This sale is for a c.1850s brown and white paisley dress in a very light cotton or lawn material. It appears to be a maternity gown perhaps since the waist is adjustable. It has splits, holes, discolorations, fade and color variation and weaknesses, but still makes a fantastic display. In some places the brown has faded or changed to a lilac color. At some point, a previous owner inserted a panel of silk at the back to disguise the splits in the fabric. There are three drawstrings in the waist of the gown. Two of them have been replaced. It has very tiny milk glass buttons down the front. The measurements as seen in the photo are: bust 38”, waist 28”. PLEASE look at all pictures and ask questions if you are unsure of anything. The winning USA buyer pays for Priority Mail shipping and delivery confirmation of a package between 10 and 11 pounds from zip code 13502. I will combine shipping on multiple sales.
