From a Connecticut Estate sale comes this From a Connecticut Estate sale comes this c1950 Royal Doulton Hand Painted Bone China Dickens Figurine MRS. BARDELL from Dickens\' 1836 novel known as The Pickwick Papers although the actual title is The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club.

Mrs. Tamora Bardell was Mr. Pickwick\'s landlady who sued him for Breach of Promise of marriage.

Standing 4 1/4” tall, Mrs. Bardell is in excellent used condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or other defects that I note and is one of twenty five Dickens figurines created by Leslie Harradine. (I believe I had them all but most are either listed or have sold with only a few left to list.) Any dots on the surface that you see in the pictures are reflections from my lighting on the high gloss finish on these pieces.
