Ca1905 Diamond Dye Cabinet W/ Tin Lithographed Front & Rear Panels "the Mansion" For Sale

Ca1905 Diamond Dye Cabinet W/ Tin Lithographed Front & Rear Panels

Rare and fantastic, ca1905 Large Size Diamond Dye Cabinet with a beautiful Embossed, Chromolithograph Tin Advertising Sign Door - the image is known as "The Mansion".

This stunning Dye Cabinet is in outstanding condition - the tin lithograph door panel is exceptionally well preserved with no significant fading, wear, scratches, or significant damage of any kind - only some scattered and tiny surface blemishes as can be seen in the scans below. The Cabinet also retains its original embossed, tin lithographed panel on the rear door!!! This is among the most beautiful and well preserved example of this large size Diamond Dye Cabinet we have ever owned.

This outstanding American Advertising Country Store Display Cabinet measures approx. 24 1/2" tall by 15" wide by 9" deep. The beautiful embossed Tin Lithograph front panel measures approx. 11 1/4" by 19 1/2" and features an image of 5 children playing on the grounds of a stately mansion. Text at the top of the tin panel reads "Diamond Dyes" and text at the bottom reads "The Standard Package Dyes of the World". The front panel is copyright by the manufactured of Diamond Dyes - the Wells and Richardson Co - and is signed by the lithographer - the American Art Works Co. of Coshocton, Ohio.

The Cabinet is 100% complete - it retains its original 36 section interior as well as the seldom found, tin lithograph insert panel on the rear door (printed on both the front and rear sides. There are also a number of small paper labels that identify the various interior sections as well as 6 original Diamond Dye Product Boxes.

Overall this wonderful, Diamond Dyes Cabinet is in excellent condition. The deeply embossed, Tin Chromolithograph panel on the front of the Cabinet is very well preserved - the colors are bright and vibrant - rich and warm and the image is an example of the very finest quality American Lithography on Tin. There is no fading or rubbing and no significant scratches, wear or surface loss to either the front or rear tin litho panels. There are some random small spots and nicks to the surfaces of both panels but overall the blemishes are minimal and any wear quite light. This Tin Lithograph "Sign" is simply stunning and, although we do not know exactly how this type of tin sign is graded, we would have to rate it an 8 or better compared to any other similar Dye Cabinet we have ever seen. The oak elements of the Cabinet appear to have been refinished sometime in the recent past and all of the wooden surfaces are very attractive.

We offer this fantastic, Diamond Dye Cabinet, as always, with and the confidence that it will attract the serious attention that it justly deserves!!! Good Luck to All!!!
