Text at the top of the tin panel reads "Diamond Dyes" and text at the bottom reads "The Standard Package Dyes of the World". The front panel is copyright by the manufactured of Diamond Dyes - the Wells and Richardson Co - and is signed by the lithographer - the American Art Works Co. of Coshocton, Ohio.
The Cabinet is 100% complete - it retains its original 36 section interior as well as the seldom found, tin lithograph insert panel on the rear door (printed on both the front and rear sides. There are also a number of small paper labels that identify the various interior sections as well as 6 original Diamond Dye Product Boxes.
Overall this wonderful, Diamond Dyes Cabinet is in excellent condition. The deeply embossed, Tin Chromolithograph panel on the front of the Cabinet is very well preserved - the colors are bright and vibrant - rich and warm and the image is an example of the very finest quality American Lithography on Tin. There is no fading or rubbing and no significant scratches, wear or surface loss to either the front or rear tin litho panels. There are some random small spots and nicks to the surfaces of both panels but overall the blemishes are minimal and any wear quite light. This Tin Lithograph "Sign" is simply stunning and, although we do not know exactly how this type of tin sign is graded, we would have to rate it an 8 or better compared to any other similar Dye Cabinet we have ever seen. The oak elements of the Cabinet appear to have been refinished sometime in the recent past and all of the wooden surfaces are very attractive.
We offer this fantastic, Diamond Dye Cabinet, as always, with and the confidence that it will attract the serious attention that it justly deserves!!! Good Luck to All!!!
