Ca.1922 Wyoming Roundup Beautiful Cowgirls In Western Clothing Rppc By Doubleday:
For offer is an original circa 1922-1923 era COWGIRLS real photo postcard featuring seven lovely women dressed in western wear. These beautiful rodeo girls are identified as follows: Rene Hafley, Fox Hastings, Rose smith, Ruth Roach, Mable Strickland, Prairie Rose, and Dorothy Morell. This photograph was taken at a rodeo in Cheyenne, Wyoming called “Cheyenne Frontier Days” in the early 1920’s by a photographer identified as “Doubleday.” He produced dozens of RPPC images during this time period! There is some writing on the back but the postcard was never mailed. It has an AZO stamp box with arrows up and down (it dates postcard to the 1918-1930 era). The postcard has some creases and bumped corners but is in decent condition. Ms. Rose is wearing a VERY UNUSUAL embroidered dress with some kind of animal fur as part of the fashion. It’s very unusual. All seven women are wearing cowboy hats made so popular in this era. This is a terrific piece of Western photography. Please let me know if you have any questions whatsoever.
