Chicago Worlds Fair Columbian Exposition Pocket Watch And Fob Columbus Ingersoll For Sale
Just picked this up yesterday at a sale not realizing exactly what it was. It is an Ingersoll pocket watch that says Worlds Columbian Exposition Chicago 1893 around the face of the watch.It says Columbus R. H. Ingersoll and Bro. New York on the face of the watch itself. When I opened it up. the little screw in the middle was broken off, but taped to the inside of the lid as pictured. Therefore I don't know if it works or not.There are several patent dates starting at Jan 15, 1878 and the last is Jan 13, 1891. The fob is all there except for a few missing chain links in the center that held Columbus as pictured. On the last link of the fob on the back side says 1893 Worlds Columbian Exposition Chicago, chain pat Apr 4 93. and on the opposite side is Cleveland. The next link is Grant, next is Lincoln, center is Columbus, next is Washington, and last is Sherman.
