a very fineceltic knotbroochby archibald knox for liberty & co,it has a wonderful grained textured finishwhich istypical of the art nouveau & arts & crafts period,it is of thefinest qualityand would have been sold throughthe liberty & costore in londons regent streetas part of the cymric range along with his pewter designs for the tudric range of art nouveau pewter,there were several designers using this medium of design and decoration during this era,amongst those the most notable were,murrle bennett,jessie m king,charles hornerand james fenton.the brooch would have been produced byhaselers of birmingham,these were the only silversmith making for libertys and produced the cymric silver ware and it is stamped as such to the back there is no hall mark indicating an early piece,the original c clasp and pin are present and it measures 1.75" across so a very nice wearable piece,please feel free to ask any questions and i will reply within 24hours,this is a genuine piece and should not be mistaken for the unmarked copies and reproduction items offered on ,it will be sent byspecial delivery in the u.k and airsure or signed for to international destinations.
