We reproduced this privacy mortise lock from an antique original. The
lock body is heavy cast iron and the working parts are all solid cast
brass. The face of the lock measures: 7/8 x 5 1/4 x 1/8 inches. The
lock body recesses 3 inches, is 3 1/2 inches tall and 3/4 inches thick.
The set includes the strike plate and turn piece. Antique back plates and our back plates will work with this standard lock. The distance from the center of the doorknob hub to the center of the turn piece hub is the standard 2 1/4 inches. The backset is 2 3/8 inches. Finishes available are: polished chrome, polished nickel, light bronze and unlacquered brass.
