This is a 22k gold coin with an overall weight of 1.667g. The gold content comprises 90% - 1.499g, or .0482 ounces, the 10% is copper added for durability. At 12.85 millimeters, it is tiny, barely 2/3 the size of an American Dime. Calculate its gold value by multiplying its actual gold weight of .0482 ozt by the spot value of gold (at this writing, $1,586). Today's spot gold price = 1,585 x .0482 = gold value of $76.44. Its numismatic value is best checked in Krause Publication's "Coins of Mexico." The design with the Mexican Coat of Arms (pictured) and the Mexican Eagle on the reverse began with the coin's introduction in 1919 and remained until it was discontinued in the early 1970s. It is very popular with beginning gold investors due to the fact that gold coins small enough to get at prices below $200 can be very hard to find. And this one, though miniscule, has an appealing and elegant appearance.Read full review
The coin is smaller than I expected but it is the exact size and weight and composition. The amount of gold is just under a 1/20th of an oz, so a good price on scale with the 1/10th oz more expensive coins. A great bargain, wonderful peace of mind during these times!

Really nice condition 1945 Mexican dos Pesos gold coin which looks like it was minted last month. To me it is a nice size to have for bartering if something happens and we can't get cash for awhile. Or just to add to your collection of various gold coins.

Perfect way to add a bit of gold to your collection, or a great present for the gold stacker in your life. Small but beautiful, and the weight in the hand definitely tells you it’s got substance.
