Despite what we may be led to believe, crisis happens to us all. Life seems fine. Then, you lose your job, your spouse wants a divorce, you are diagnosed with cancer, or a friend dies suddenly. Sometimes, several of these things happen all at once and it feels like the world is coming apart at the seams. Our first reaction is deny, deny, deny. It’s not happening. I can fix this. I can be strong. Then, reality starts to set in. It’s at this point that we need to know ten things that will not only get us through the crisis but help us understand how to make a better life because of what we have learned and experienced.
