Christian Bale (Batman Begins and the Dark Knight) stars as John Connor in this fourth installment of the Terminator series. Set in the year 2018, John Connor leads an attack by the Resistance on a Skynet base (Skynet destroyed most of humanity in a nuclear attack. The movie stars: Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Moon Bloodgood, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jadagrace Berry, Michael Ironside and Helena Bonham Carter. Unlike the other Terminator movies this one is rated PG-13 (The others were rated R) there are scenes of Violence, intense action, and some language. I like the this picture changed how all of this skynet this came about. 1. Arnold Terminator shows up to kill Sarah Conner. He does'nt. 2. Kyle Reece shows up to save Sarah. Fine and dandy, except Term. Salvation shows Kyle as an teenager. First terminator shows him as an adult. faux pas I did like the fact that Kyle and John are fighting a good fight, but trying to watch Anton Yelchin possible play John's father is a little farfetched. Sam Worthington saved this picture. His conflict of being human, waking up 15 years after being executed, and dealing with his discovery that he is infact the terminator to try to kill John. In all, the badguy (Marcus) is the one to save humanity to fight another day. John Conner used his link the the past (throught the Sarah tapes) to come across as a massiah falls flat. If I was part of the resistance, I would have shot him, just to get him to SHUT up. one remark: How did Kate Conner go from being a vet to being a all around MD. Sometimes you need to make these changes clear up front to make a better pix.Read full review

I am a big fan of the Terminator movies and honestly the second and third were nowhere near as good as the first one. This one, in my opinion was very close to being better than the first one (it isn't but it was close). It is extremely action pack. It it is pretty much not stop action from the start of the movie to the end. It also has a good storyline and it doesn't really have that much language in it. This movie is by far one of the best movies made this year. I hope that the next Terminator movie will be as good as this one is. I would rate all the movies in this order... #1-1st #2-3rd #3-4th #4-2nd The year is 2018. Judgment Day has come and gone, leveling modern civilization. An army of Terminators roams the post-apocalyptic landscape, killing or collecting humans where they hide in the desolate cities and deserts. But small groups of survivors have organized into a Resistance, hiding in underground bunkers and striking when they can against an enemy force that vastly outnumbers them. Controlling the Terminators is the artificial intelligence network Skynet, which became self-aware 14 years earlier and, in the blink of an eye, turned on its creators, unleashing nuclear annihilation on an unsuspecting world. Only one man saw Judgment Day coming. One man, whose destiny has always been intertwined with the fate of human existence: John Connor(Christian Bale). Now the world is on the brink of the future that Connor has been warned about all his life. But something totally new has shaken his belief that humanity stands a chance of winning this war: the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger from the past whose last memory is of being on Death Row before awakening in this strange, new world. Connor must decide whether Marcus can be trusted, but as Skynet adapts new strategies to end the Resistance forever, Connor and Marcus must find common ground to take a stand against the onslaught to infiltrate Skynet and meet the enemy head-on.Read full review
This one has a film noir quality to it. Lots of black/white light/dark with color being used for even more dramatic effect. The good side of humanity really comes out in this one; an honorable leader portrayed by Christian Bale; the former bad guy who gets a new life and becomes awesomely good, the brave little girl. The scene with Arnold in the Terminator Factory is fabulous. There's a great balance in this movie between tough and military, yet caring and concerned. I liked it alot; let's see another one!
