Houses got better with Age of Shadow, but the game started to deline right here. Brief review: Failing, due to in-game freebies with every expansion. Buy an expansion, and get in-game rich from freebies. Leaving loyal veterans in the dust. This game would make a major turn back if ported to a console. Surface review of the game. You make a character, work.. play around and fight or roleplay. Make friends, or guild. Earn gold coins, find rares.. build a house if you like. Customize it. You can setup a vendor to sell your stuff. You can walk around and talk to everyone, barter, etc. Their is quests, dungeons, walksways, etc. It is very fun at first, but after you get alot, and max your stats, etc.. you kind of see their isn't much left to do. Used to be you could lose armor in a fight, now you get to keep it because they added insurance, blessed items, etc. Ok so 8 years ago if you had a nice sword, and died.. you had the chance to lose it, or have it looted off your body. The game took away from the economy. It forced players to actually play to get the item back or to save to buy another one.. go on a quest to find one.. This game used to be one of the best, slowing falling. It seems more based on your willing to upgrade with every new expansion that they release. For instance, if you skip an expansion upgrade, you lose the opportunity of several free ingame items. The items they give with the expansions are usually worth millions of gold coins. So if you worked hard in the game, saved 1 million gold coins... a noob with a new expansion could join and sell the freebies and have more gold coins than you. Now is that fair to a veteran player? 8 years ago this game did not need ingame freebies to sell expansions. The ingame freebies are one of the main reasons the game is falling. You used to actually work for gold and rares. Here's an idea to bring back the economy. Not everyone should have millions of gold coins. 8 years ago, a million gold coins was tough to get. Easily obtaining millions of gold coins in a midevil setting, is very unrealistic. At the least change the currency to a different coin at a lesser exchange rate to get the numbers to where they should be in a midevil setting. I mean with the way it is going, why not just add vehicles and planes? Let the game evolve then, or fix it now. This game could make a major turn if ported to a video game console, like PS3. They need to fix it up a bit, and allow access via PC and console. Add real life chat via mic or headset. I don't mean to allow only PS3 users into a certain shard.. but allow them to access the same current shards that PC users have been on. One, it would add many more players. This game isn't much fun when you are the only one standing at the bank by yourself. I personally think you should be able to access any shard just like a moongate.Read full review
