Despite its low power rating, produces plenty of volume with very little distortion. Lovely smooth sound and detail. Quirky inputs and outputs but well worth a few pounds to get the specialist connectors. Just needs a rudimentary service of pots and switches to get them sounding as they should. A great piece of British hi-fi history that still looks and sounds brilliant. A gem!

Leak is brand you either know or you don't. They were in essence, the NAD of their day; by which I mean they were a higher end audio manufacturer, who were well known in the home audio circles, but probably not to your every day buyer. I bought this amp mainly for the looks. A metal unit that slots into a wooden case, held in place with a wing nut. Lovely simple design. The wood looks very very cool. Sound wise, its a great sound with the right speakers. Has that typical 60's/70's edge towards the higher frequencies, but the bass and treb controls are very broad so can be tuned very nicely. Sounds best I find with smaller speakers. Lovely bit of kit and most affordable.
