TurboTax is a great product and I have been using it for years BUT this year the disk would not load in my MacBook Pro. I sent it back to the dealer and then went on forums to see what had happened. I discovered TurboTax does not support its use by older Mac computers and no amount of discussion would cause TurboTax to change this policy. I ended up using the online version of TurboTax which worked like a charm. The packing needs to be updated to indicate which MacBook Pro is supported. At this time the box seems to indicate the product works on Windows, Mac. Love TurboTax but didn't like the hassle and expense to send it back.
Have purchased Turbotax before. Prefer disc vs downloading. Everything was fine accept for downloading updated Turbotax data. For whatever reasons, the disc refused to download the updated data. Had to contact Turbotax service rep. to get updated info. Turbotax had to cancel the disc and start anew by downloading a new Turbotax to my computer. So in essence, I got the downloaded version anyway. I still like Turbotax but I think I will go with download version instead of using the disc version.
I have used TurboTax for over 15 years. I have tried other tax programs before that, and they were harder to use, especially when doing investment reporting. I know that tax software changes every year (including turboTax), so other tax software may be easier to use now also. However if anything, TurboTax has even gotten easier over the years. I like its accuracy and support. I plan to continue using TurboTaX in the Future.
I' ve used Turbo Tax for several years now & find it an excellent product. It is extrememly thorough, asking all the necessary questions & providing explanations for everything. I have not tried any other tax software. Before TurboTax I paid a Tax Advisor to do my income taxes. Will buy it again next year.
I have used TurboTax for years. I like the easy of use. For a beginner, it will guide you through the process and ask you for information to get the biggest discounts available. I don't believe that it lets you get in trouble very easy.
