TM-T88V (tee 88 five) is the benchmark of the industry. All other receipt printers try to match its performance, durability and to last as long. I have seen units in production for over 10 years at busy locations. Remember when brand X says "Epson Compatible" they wish their product was as good and are trying to be as good. So far, no printer made lasts longer, works with more POS Systems and is as trouble free. Worth the extra money because they are simply the best printer for receipts on the market.

The description said "Item has only printed 2 or 3 receipts and is basically brand new". The printer I received looks like it is several years old. While it works fine, it certainly does not look like a "brand new printer". And since it is not as new as I thought it was, I do wonder how long it will last.

Overall, this is may be the BEST in its class. The print speed is amazingly FAST! Very heavy duty, several mounting options. Many options to interface, USB, Serial, LAN, and comes with standard cash drawer open connection (al models), and long life paper cutter, extremely quiet operation. Life of printer is rated very long time, great for use in high volume retail and medium size as well. Point is, it will meet your needs. Of all brands I used, I always come back to Epson. Parts are easy to find, east to find nearby repair shops, very well built. I got the Dark Grey version, it's plastic case wont fade even if in direct sunlight 365 days a year. I will buy more as I find deals here.
This printer is FAST. WAY faster than the old dot matrix impact receipt printer we were using before. Super easy to reload paper. No paper jams yet. Seems reasonably durable, but it's too soon to tell. Overall, a recommended printer. EDIT: July 2016...Bought 2 of these in August 2014 for a very busy restaurant, and they have been in continuous service since then. Still working great and super reliable with no paper jam or print issues. Highly recommended.
T88V is the fastest POS printer out there! graphics print nearly as fast as text. I will always recommend TM-T88V over any other!
