James Patterson writes a really good mystery novel involving the ladies of the Women's Murder Club. I actually read this book on the 4th of July in between watching the fireworks. The chapters are short. It is a real page-turner and keeps the reader guessing as to what will happen next. It is so enjoyable to read. I think this is the best book in the series. It stands alone and you don't need to know what has occurred in the previous novels in the series. While the main character is on leave for a shooting, she has to go through an agonizing trial and a media blitz put on by the father of a girl who was killed by Lindsay Boxer. In the meantime something else intrudes, several grisley murders in a small coastal town to the south of San Francisco. The killer becomes bolder with each new murder. Everything heats up to a final confrontation between the killer and Lindsay. It was a big surprise to me when the identity of the killer was revealed. Then Lindsay has to return for a media circus trial in San Francisco. How does the trial end? Read this book and find out. A great book and I can highly recommend reading it. I bought this because my niece was reading it and told me it was a reall good series and James Patterson is a good author. She was right. I like the fact that the main character is a strong woman, but she also has a softer side. It's a fast reading book and a page turner. I would say there is nothing I don't like about it. I would recommend it to others.
