Classic romance movie set in a small town where everyone knows everything about each other and it is one I never got the chance to see back in its heyday. Sally Fields & James Garner give their usual fantastic performances and Brian Kerwin gets my vote for a terrific performance - making you dislike him from the time he comes into the film and all the way to the end.

This western styled love story is great! Sally Fields was exceptional in her role as a woman recently divorced from a party hard loser. She moves to a new town in Arizona and tries to start over, far from her past. In this town, James Garner (Murphy) is the widowed man about town that all of the older women are drawn to. By chance he and Feilds meet and the sparks fly.... especially when her ex husband comes back into the picture. I love James Garners sense of wit, and his down to earth quality. I would heavily recommend this movie for anyone who wants to live, laugh, and love.
This just happens to be one of my favorite movies . Both stars are dear to me for very different reasons. Very old school love story movie. Kind of has a simple purity.
