Building a collection of sports baseball books in a sports library is fun and exciting. First priority is having a passion and love for the game of baseball. Learning to enjoy and play the game is part of the enjoyment. Baseball has been called America's favorite pastime. thus, earning it's way into American lifestyle. I am building a library of baseball books bring together a collection of some the best written books on baseball. Areas of interest are great players of the game, teams and cities of great baseball events, and a history of baseball such as Cooperstown, N.Y., being the town of baseball's Hall Of Fame. This book being reviewed traces the importance American Negros as they played the game and worked their way into the big leagues. Teams such as the Kansas City Monarchs with players as Willie Mays, Larry Doby, Jackie Robinson, Monte Irvin, Satchel Paige entering the major leagues. Thus, choosing this book brings importance to my sports library.Read full review
