These Handcuffs come with a "feature" usually found on more expensive handcuffs. The "single strand rivets" and the "cheek rivets" are machined flush to the frame. This helps to avoid scratches and cuts to Law Enforcement and to the Subject as well during an arrest. The "two link" chain is preferred over the "three link." This design makes it harder to bind and break the chain on its own center link. I did not test these for strength. My use of Handcuffs are for teaching a University Class recommended for Criminal Justice students. These are smooth fast action/easy to apply handcuffs- great for Demonstration purposes. My opinion provided by a 23 year, Self-Defense Instructor at the University o Akron.
