This is the best of the Clash compilations. It smartly mixes fan favorites and singles with live cuts, demos and other rarities. This is an accurate, complete depiction of the Clash's career from a perspective the band can appreciate (even though there was plenty of room to include a track or two from the Clash's final album, "Cut The Crap," the producers of this set smartly omitted it. The album has been disavowed by the band and is largely considered more of a Joe Strummer solo album than a Clash album). Those who only want to rock out to "Rock The Casbah" and "Should I Stay Or Should I Go" would be better off with a smaller collection like "The Singles" or "The Essential Clash." But for those interested in the evolution of this pivotal British punk band without buying all the albums separately... "The Clash on Broadway" has it all in one box.Read full review
