A Simple Christmas, Really?
I must admit, some of Mike Huckabee's 'simple Christmas' stories don't seem simple! In fact, some looked like it was a rough time for him. Like the one where his wife had cancer. I know that his focus was that it was simple in the fact that they had no presents to give each other, but the fact of the reality of cancer had to have been hard. This is a very touching book, and amusing, too! I got a kick out of how he and his sister used to open their presents a week or so before Christmas, and play with them every day, making sure to wrap them back up before their parents came home. If you are looking for an easy read, then this is perfect for you. This is several different Christmas stories, some funny, some sad. I really have enjoyed this book!

The book is a delight to read. It is full of stories of wonderful times in the life of Mike Huckabee and the Christmas season. If you enjoy reading good stories about Christmas, then this is one for you to read and share with other members of your family. If you are familiar with Mike Huckabee, you will find that he writes just like he speaks. You can't go wrong with this book.

A Simple Christmas is a wonderfully easy read. Like sitting down and talking to a close friend. Triumph with humor over adversity. Even though it is, now, after Christmas, I am ordering the book for a friend who is in a nursing home. I am sure she will enjoy it as much as I.
