Bought this because it looked better than the one with just the two sleeves and a piece of rope. I had rotator cuff surgery on the right arm and naturally I'm right handed. Since I live alone this was one of my main concerns of getting socks on one handed. This works best if you use loose fitting diabetic socks. If you pull the sock all the way over the sleeve it will catch on two very little pieces on the top of the sleeve. I found that if I pulled the sock just to the top and not over it works better. The handle is nice because you use it like a shoe horn to get the sock on. I get the sock started and then kind of push my foot forward in the sock while on the floor. This is why looser fitting socks like the ones from the dollar store work better. This is the best one I found if you are recovering by yourself and don't have anyone to help you. Well worth the price. This also has bits of rope to help on the sides if you need it.Read full review

It's a great way for an out of shape person to get their socks on! It's harder to use on the right foot because I have to set it on the floor to get it started and once my foot goes in then I grab the back of the tool to pull the sock on!

I suffer from sysstemic degenerataive joint disease. Putting my socks on was becoming almost impossible and very painful. I purchased this product with low expectations as it was after all just a piece of molded plastic. Boy was I wrong. Although made of plastic it is very stout and well designed. After a few attempts at mastering this great device i found it amazingly simple to use. This product far exceeded my expectations. I no longer dread getting dressed in the morning and getting my socks on could not be any easier (or pain free). I very much recommend this product.
