Amish lifestyle captured in recipes and photographs.
First of all, I admire the Amish way of life. Secondly, this book of recipes accurately reflects that. Simple, fresh foods raised on the farm and turned into delicious meals with loving care. Each recipe is well presented and easy to follow, thanks to the choice of type size and font. Along with the recipes are beautiful pictures of the farms, crops, Amish families, crafts, and countryside. The narration is instructive. This is a wonderful complement to Marcia Adams' "Cooking from Quilt Country."

i am giving one as a wedding gift & making sure my other granddaughters..get one as a gift...also my close friends have received one...i think the Amish are the best cooks in the world. the pictorials are beautiful and recipes are fantastic!!

I have collected cookbooks for years and this one surpasses them all. With its beautiful pictures of Amish life and recipes you actually want to make. It takes you to a simpler time and helps to bring it to our harried lives effortless. The recipes are easy to understand and make. The stories are fun to read. I highly recommend this book to anyone who really loves the experience of cooking real food.
