I give this 2 DVD set a "good" rating only because it gives much more time and film footage to each individual mission that I had seen before. The viewer, if having seen other such productions, will gain a better contextual understanding of situations. Also, this production gives BY FAR the best description and footage of the 1975 Apollo Soyuz rendevous and docking, including film from inside both spaceships, the experiements done, and even on the ground footage with Soviet Premier Leonid Brezhnev and President Gerald Ford. On the downside, the overal visual quality is poor by todays standards, indicating that the film was used "raw" and not digitally "fixed". The sound quality is also not good. The initial opening on DVD one was so cut-and-paste disjointed I ejected the DVD at first. But if you can tolerate the above, it is a worthwhile investment for the space buff who wants a full and complete picture of the Apollo missions, Skylab, and Apollo Soyuz. Ends with description of the first Shuttle.Read full review
