I saw this book in a friend's home and was intrigued by the content. It lists of sorts of things that you can use that might be in the home for different purposes. One example is the use of a banana peel to shine your shoes. There are other ordinary household items that you can use to shine brass etc. plus other handy hints. To prevent your steel pads from getting rusty after you use them put them in a zip lock baggy. The book is also entertaining reading having little chemical experiments using household items. E-bay is a great place to find things like this at reasonable prices so I decided I would bid an this item and I won it. I do this for other items as well after researching their retail costs.
Filled with great ideas , many surprising. I had this book and liked it so much, I bought it for a friend.

This is a great book! It has handy, useful tips on using everyday, ordinary things everyone has around the house. You can find tips to clean, reuse & recycle all kinds of items. Who knew there were so many things you could do with WD40, petroleum jelly, or baking soda! This is an excellent resource for use around your home.
Great book, kind of must have.

I thought this book would be organized by categories of what you want to clean or do and list what you could use to do the job. But instead it lists items you may have at home and what other uses there are for them. How am I supposed to look up something I need to do and find what I need to do it? It is hard to find anything in this book. I do not want to go through a long list of items I may or may not even have trying to find something that will do what I need it to do!!!!
