From a student standpoint this is actually a really good book. It's easy to follow while still learning a lot. I don't say this much about college textbooks, but this is a great book.
The topics were laid out well, I just did not like the random placement of practice problems. The examples were very well written also.
The book is softcover and the problems are all in SI units, which is quite different form what I actually needed. The description doesn't say anything about these differences.
Goes in depth into the mechanics of materials. A lot of it can be ignored, but it's there if you need it. Great reference book.
