I wanted to see this concert back when they were touring, but I wasn't able to get tickets. These are two of my favorites out there, I grew up listening to them and I wore out that iconic cassette of their Central Park Concert. So I was excited when I saw this and got it. When it arrived, I popped some popcorn, got a drink, and sat down to watch it... Well... They've aged for one and even though they sang the songs we all know and love... To me I felt a lot of tension between the two of them and to me it also seemed like their hearts just weren't in it. Some of the "dialogue" seemed over rehearsed, over done, like they were saying the words just to say them and use them as a filler between songs and not because they wanted to add something to the show. None of it seemed natural and didn't seem to really fit or flow... It was nice to listen to, nice to see, but I don't think that I would review it again. If you want a great concert to see, watch the Central Park concert (you can also listen to the CD) and there are two really nice CD's out there of concerts from the 60's concerts, one from 1967 and one from 1969.Read full review
The DVD is as described. Like new, no issues in playing. Ever since their induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concert, I have been obsessed with their harmonies. I close out every fire I have in the backyard with Simon and Garfunkel music.

This dvd was truly enjoyable. Songs included "The Leaves that are Green" "The Boxer" and Sounds of Silence. A surprise visit from the Everly Brothers made it very special as Simon and Garfunkel told how the Everlys had influenced their music in the early years. They all sang Bye Bye Love together. Also included were segments from The Graduate with Dustin Hoffman because of the song Mrs. Robinson. The concert ends with Feelin' Groovy. This one's a treat to watch and a keeper to watch on a rainy night. If you grew up listening to these guys.. you'll also enjoy My Little Town, Slip Slidin' Away and of course Bridge Over Troubled Water. Hope this helps you decide if you want to buy this dvd. We recommend it highly. Jen
A great concert, almost like being in the audience.
