When I purchased this Ironman shock watch I basically went back to my roots. Great Timex timepiece. Always has been comfortable to wear, reliable and durable. Holds up well through the rigors of my job and keeps great time. Resin band with metal clasp is a plus.
Difficult to put on and take off, but a good watch overall.
The watch is very durable. I wanted another Timex because there is a countdown timer feature that I like. The price was good, and I bought this after reading reviews of other , less expensive Timex watches with the countdown timer. But it is difficult to get the watch off and on. The end of the wristband doesn't fit easily in the sleeve. It's made like this so it doesn't come off when diving . Overall , it is a good buy, and I expect that this watch will last a long time.
I have owned different versions (just different color combinations) of this Timex Ironman watch (T5K19x) for nearly thirty years, because they hold up extremely well to any use and even abuse I dish out. I never take it off except for cleaning it or if I need to reach into a tight space, and I do all kinds of activities and labor, from DIY mechanic and carpentry work to handling rocks, firewood and lumber, landscaping, and even scuba diving (though they now claim it's not meant for that- it's water "resistant" to 200 meters instead of the old nomenclature water "proof", but recreational diving is only going to be at a fraction of the stated 200 meter/656 feet max depth, anyway, so it should be fine, in all likelihood.) These watches function perfectly for 8 or more years on their original battery, although I have found that once the case is opened to install a new battery, either one of the function buttons or the alarm sound are prone to stop functioning properly, so I usually just buy a new one when the battery dies, even though it still works, otherwise. Even so, when you consider the relatively low price stretched over many years (usually less than $5/year), it's a pretty good value in a watch you never have to give any thought about at all as far as pampering it. And by that time, the watch body is rather beat up and scarred anyway, although the recessed crystal face is well protected and rarely gets scratched. The weak point of these watches (as with most watches) is the plastic bands they often come with, but new bands are readily available. One of the earlier Ironman watches I bought many years ago had a folding/snap closed metal "Ironman" branded band, and I have been swapping out the plastic or cloth watchbands on each new Ironman watch for that same metal band I've had literally for decades, and that combination has so far proven to be indestructible. Of course, this requires the new watch to be the same classic style as the original Ironman, but I like the old style just fine and they keep making them. I hope Timex keeps making this style for many years to come, 'cause I'll consider myself lucky to still be around to go through two more of these bad boys!
As for ease of use and functionality, learning to use all of the many features is fairly intuitive, and the count-down timer, regular timer (either individual laps, if you need that) and the alarm all come in handy once you get used to having them.

Great quality. Rigid. A time piece which you can trust.
One thing which slightly bother me is how I can recall the lap time. I used a Casio Tough Solar with 120 lap memory. The Casio one's user interface is better. And it can have multiple sets of lap time, say one set with 5 lap, another set with 13 lap. And recalling the lap time is straight forward. For this Timex, it is slightly less user friendly. But anyway, I love this watch a lot!
Not the fanciest watch nor is it a fitness watch. Just a very good reliable device that tells time and can track laps etc. I've been wearing a Timex Ironman for 25 years.
