Love this cd. I own all of them, and out of all of them it is probably my least favorite, but i don't think they have put out a bad record yet. Hypnotize is such a great song. As is kill rock n roll. I would highly recommend buying this cd, but only after you have bought all the others first. Also, it is part of a dual pack with mezmerize (which is my favorite personally) so buy both of them together if you can. But if you have to choose, definitely buy mezmerize over this one. I actually bought mezmerize in hopes of listening to the song hypnotize (at the time i didn't know the title of the song lol) but ended up getting something better. In closing, my best advice pertaining to buying this item is: YES. Buy it. And every other system cd. Also, buy every modest mouse cd :P
Arrived in great shape and exactly and what the person receiving it as a gift felt. It was considered good work from the musicians.

I was not going to waste my time with this, but here goes...This is another crappy negative political rock cd. The music is the regular angry-teen grunge/metal crap. The songs are crappy/depressing and the overall feel I got from the cd is just kill yourself-you would be better off. I have to admit that the vocal team is quite impressive with a opera-esk vibe but the music is just too depressing! I was going to toss my copy out my car window, but I am afraid some little kid will listen to it and harm himself. If someone over 18 years of age wants my copy let me know. Send me $1.00 to cover postage and envelope and I will send it to you- no joke! I am serious!
Definitely a great album. Just as I got into them, they went on hiatus. They gave us this first with many many great songs . Lonely Day is probably one of my favorites.

System of a Down is just one of those groups that are so unique and creative that is hard to compare them to any other band. That is very refreshing in a time when soooo many metal bands sound basically the same (ie: basic heavy riff, some scream/growl, a hook, and 3 1/2 minutes later it's done). Forutnately, S.O.A.D does not fall into that rut and the "Hypnotize" CD is excellent proof. Whether you are strictly a metal-head or an eclectic who is looking for the Mozart of Heavy Metal, I highly recommend this CD to both of you and everyone in between!
