If you are looking for a great distortion pickup for bridge position you should think about the TB 6. The ceramic magnet delivers powerful tones, great sustain and of course a sweet distortion tone. You can clean it out at ant time with the volume and tone controls, but it performs at its best volume and tone controls are open all the way. This pickup is particularly friendly with the tube amp; very responsive, great sustain and a beautiful overdrive tone. With the distortion pedal it may be a little too crunchy but that's not necessarily bad. Just a matter of finding a sweet spot on your pedal's controls. So, if you like a heavy distortion sound, warm and crunchy this pickup is for you.

This set sounds fantastic. Excellent power, balance, tone, articulation clean or dirty,,, A very versatile pair in that they clean up beautifully with the guitars volume and tone knobs on a great tube amp finding great tones along the way. Splitting the coils adds to the sonic versatility giving some pure chime single coil tones. I have this set in two different guitars. They sound a bit different but sound equally great. The Hot Rod set doesn't break the bank and gives some great results. I'm a big fan of having a SH-4 JB in the bridge position, paired with a SH-2 Jazz, it's a great combo.

Since being introduced to the Seymour Duncan Black Winter, I find I am putting them in all my guitars. Articulate, full, high output Humbucker. Excellent for pushing the preamp circuit on a tube amplifier. Smooth lead tones that cut through the mix. Cleans up very well for clean guitar passages. Pictured below is my Ibanez RG 550 with Black Winter/Sentient combination. Black Winter in the Bridge Trembucker in Red and Black Zebra, bridge position of course.

100% happy with this pickup. Took the stock Schecter pickups out of my Snow Leopard. The Nazgul pickup is awesome. Has a great time and drive. One thing I would mention is: The treble response is relatively bright, yet not brittle. Not a bad thing. It's easier to back off the treble than add it in. I keep the tone knob at about 7-8 with this one.

Installed in a washburn hb35 from the early 90s. It's an old guitar but I will put it up against any guitars or Prs Gibson gretsch no need for boutique axes. One stop shopping blues jazz rock metal it does it all.I have the sh8 invader in my Jackson and it's a little brittle for my taste.
