This was a chance to buy a first edition- signed by authors Al and Tipper Gore - Two great Americans!! Book displays the difficulties in today's society to accept certain social blended families, interracial, gay couples to the broad display of divorce to problems with communication in general that play a major role in everyday life. The depth of realty that we all hold dear is the value of FAMILY and the fact we try to hold on to this very thread that seems to be unraveling at a alarming rate in today's society. This book was published in 2002 and already the foundation of family life has been tested because of the lack of economic stability, lack of child care system, health care system and a public school system that is not up to first class standard this country deserves - our country is better than this - we should be number #1 in all endeavors - we should be leading the world in health, education and the environment. When are we going to step up to the plate and score a home run instead of striking out!! Great book and we should always remember, we are all "JOINED AT THE HEART"Read full review
