Good legendary unit, most of these units are in good working condition with the exception of the TUNER section. Most of the units I have looked at the tuner section is not working properly or at all. I don't know what breaks down inside I only know that a lot of them do not work. Also I do not know if its an easy fix or if its expensive repairs that will be needed. The other item is that these units shipped with a remote control that controlled many of the units most common controls that are on the face of the unit. Unfortunately many of the units I looked at the remote was lost or broken. So if you want one you have to do some searching, and occasionally one turns up, and again you will have to pay an $50 to who knows what to get your hands on one.
As good a line level pre amp as you will find even today for under a grand, Adcom put everything into this one. Phono section is primo, tuner is top quality especially if used with proper FM 54 inch directional antennae. Pulls in signals from about 50 miles away. I had one of these years ago and it was a huge mistake to sell it. So glad I have another now. Vinyl fans, the Adcom is usually available for less than an entry level $200 phono pre amp and you'd have to drop $500 - $600 today just to get a phono pre amp to match the phono section in the Adcom.

In the best of condition. Only one small flaw, an output connection that I do not use.

I like that it has two outputs because I am bi-amping my speakers. I love that it has remote control. Sounds great!

This preamplifier has quiet front end, but check to see that the FM tuner section works. This is a know issue with older ADCOM preamplifiers with Tuner.
