Riddle Of The Sphinx is a very good game. The only downside is that the graphics are not that good. The voice acting could be better. And the music need to be more Egypt like. But other than that,the puzzle are not easy but there not impossible. If you look EVERYWHERE and read EVERTHING then you should have no problem with this game. There is always a clue for a puzzle. But my biggest problem was "where do you go?" I had to use a strategy guide on this game acouple of times. And you can die in this game. But if you like adventure/puzzle/first person point and click games. Then I would highly recommed on getting this game. You'll be playing in for a couple of days if not weeks. Also if you go to your Inventory and you get an item and you "lose" your item then you have to go all the way back and get that item again which sucks..And if you don't do something the gamers want you do to then it won't work for example the combination lock puzzle. If you don't listen to all 3 tapes and look through the whole bible then the combination lock won't work. It does matter if you have beat this game 50 times you still have to read the bible and listen to all three tapes in order for the puzzle to work.Read full review
I'm completely addicted to puzzle games and Riddle of the Sphinx is one of those. My only complaint with the game is that there are no guide lines to follow, i.e. what am I searching for and what prompts are there to look for my next clues. Thankfully, this is not a game you can beat in one afternoon, but spending up to two hours looking for clues can drive you nuts. I also don't care for the 1st person camera angle, though I know that is the popular angle these days. All in all it's a good game for all of us Sherlock Holmes/Indian Jones wannabes.
