We borrowed this book from the library and there were so many activites we wanted to try from the book, that we had to return it before we felt we had a chance to try enough things. We also subscribe to family fun magazine, but like having the book as something the kids can just browse through when the mood strikes - without the advertisements included in the magazine. There's a mix of games, crafts and recipes in the book, so this would be a great all-around book to buy for a good representation of things-to-do when bored. There are activities that would probably require you to purchase some things, but plenty of activities where you probably already have the supplies around the house.
This is a great book for those rainy days with kids. There are a lot of things you can do that are already in the house, but alot of them you would need at least some craft supplies. Overall a really nice book!
