This film has a reputation for being a huge dud in the 80's and for ending the career of its star Klinton Spillsbury but its really a pretty well made old fashioned western film, not as great as Tombstone or Stagecoach but its still fun. Its actually more entertaining and closer to the source material than the Johnny depp version. I dont have anything to compare the bluray transfer to and I'm not an expert but it was acceptable. I was not distracted by any quality issues. well worth the purchase.

In the age of everything being CGI'd, it is mesmerizing to watch real live locations, sets, stunts, actors and animals interacting with each other in equally beautiful real life settings. The breaking of Silver is just so breathtaking to watch! The way they captured the Lone Ranger and Tonto riding into a real southwest sunset, the way it looks in real life, can never be CGI'd! Add to that the beautiful music by John Barry and story telling sung by Merle Haggard and you have a very pleasant evening ahead of you!

Horrible quality for a blue ray. Standard definition is better than this which makes this the worst quality ever. Something very wrong here . what a rip off.
