Another "best-of" disc. This one does have the excellent highlights as well as very listenable production, unlike most American "re-masters" where some lazy POS intern with no sense of history or perspective throws down an ill-eq'd (as was dictated by his last constipated instructor) mix just to get something that they consider trivial out of the way. This disc also mercifully avoids all of the mind-numbingly endless jams that Carlos and Co were infamous for back in the day; they would have the production crew begging them to get the f*ck off of the stage after the 15th minute of a tangent from god-knows-what tune they actually started off playing.
Santana, what more can be said? Music from one of the top five all time great guitarist. I love it... and I would highly recommend this CD. It should be in every Rockers collection.
