The Da Bird has been around since the 1980’s and is one of the better interactive cat toys around. The Da Bird now comes in 4 styles: Original single pole, Pull Apart pole and Original natural Guinea feathers and Dyed Turkey feathers. I personally prefer the single pole and guinea feathers. Why? The pull apart pole can come apart, which can be a pain if in the middle of using it and the dyed turkey feathers are dyed. Once your cat bites off part of a dyed toys and then throws it up on your carpet, you will understand why dyed is not better. Good luck getting that stain out. I have a 12 year old pink stain that is, well, TWELVE years old. As the Da Bird for an interactive toy goes, it is great. There are a lot of attachments available for it (made by Go Cat and many other companies), so your cats will not get tired of the attachments. Most cats will go wild with the attachments! These new turkey feathers are more sturdy and make more noise when used. My cats love it even more than the original attachment. The value is amazing, as I recently bought 1 refill at Petco for $6.99 and received 5 of them for $13 here? I'll say it's a great value! Both my cats LOVE this, they respond to it like it's a real bird! I've bought Da Bird before but the wand on this one seems to be longer than the last one I got, which was a bonus. Definitely put this away someplace where your cat can't get to it once playtime is over or the cat wil strip the feathers off in no time.
