Good Book
While I'm not married or engaged, my boyfriend and I have been together nearly two years and are planning to get engaged soon. I don't want to end up divorced because of something we can prevent now! So I decided to buy this book; it's actually really helpful. I think we better understand how to communicate with each other now, and just better understand each other in general. The only thing that turned me off a tad was the religious aspect of the book. It wasn't bad, and I am mildly religious, but the notion that the only good marriage is one based around God kinda rubbed me the wrong way. Apart from that, amazing for someone planning to get married! I'm giving the book as a gift to one of my engaged friends as well; hope it helps her as much as it did us!

I am getting married next July, and this book has been amazing in its ability to discuss difficult subjects and ensure strong communication before the wedding. If you are getting married anytime soon, or if you are married and you are looking to improve your marriage, i would definitely recommend this book. :-)

My huband and I got this book because we are taking a class at our church that uses this book. This book is excellent for anyone about to get married and those who are newly married.

Best reference book for marriage
When my husband and I separated, this book was one of the two most influential books in helping us to repair our relationship. We have now been married 11 years, have two beautiful children, and have the Parrotts to thank for that!
