SAW Summed up in one word... WOW!!! SAW is spectacular. The music, the atmosphere, the flashbacks, and Jigsaws voice. Everything about this movie will have your skin crawling and your blood boiling. SAW I is by far the creepiest film in the trilogy, and for a film that was shot over 18 days with no rehearsal time for the actors, this film delivers. SAW offers up a brilliant cast featuring the likes of Cary Elwes, Danny Glover, Dina Meyer, Michael Emerson, Tobin Bell, Monica Potter, Shawnee Smith, and Writer/Director Leigh Whannell. SAW offers constant tension from the very get go. It had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. It's hard to explain how incredible this film is without just saying you MUST SEE IT. SAW sets the bar very high for future horror films, mainly due to the fact that it was filmed on such a small budget. Because of this Director James Wan took a major gamble and decided to work for free, and take a percentage of the profits. Final Verdict: 6/5 Rent or Buy?: I gave it a 6 out of 5. Buying this movie is the only way to go. SAW is the movie Horror fans have been waiting for. Do yourself a favor, pick up your copy today!!! IF YOU FIND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE. This movie in itself is very good.. a chilling tale that is scary becuase it takes an ordinary guy and puts him in an extraordinary situation... where we (the viewers) can sympathize with him.. because "it could be us" He has to mkae a terrible decision.. to save his life.. and the movie is FURTHER explained in the consequent SEQUALS to this movie.. this is ONE of the VERY FEW MOVIES I have EVER seen where they SEQUEL were even BETTER than the original.. and they just keep GROWING the orignal Story. My husband and I love horror/thriller movies.. and we really enjoyed this and highly recommend it to all...
As a person who was born in the month of October, I don't have to tell you how many times my birthday and Halloween were a combined event. So needless to say, the horror movie genre is by far my favorite. Being sentimental kept me hung up on the Halloween franchise (we both began in 1978), but as I got older, blood for the sake of blood just wasn't cutting it anymore. Pun intended. In my adulthood, I needed to know, why is the bad guy doing what he does? Why is he bad? Why am I seeing all this blood? And my tired eyes needed more than just a knife for all that dirty work. Finally, the Saw franchise started. With Jigsaw's cleverly thought out traps, and the hauntingly beautiful theme song by Charlie Clouser, Saw will be here for many Halloweens to come.
love the whole saw series but I love the first one out of them all saw is about 2 men that are shackled to pipes and the only way to get free is to play a games as the clock starts to run out one of the men must make a tough chose ether kill the other man in the room with him or his wife and daughter will die this movie was great with a twisted at the end if you haven,t seen it then I would reckoned that you see it you wont believe who the killer is
I love this movie. The twists and turns that keep you on the edge of you seat until the very last minute of the movie. The whole "SAW" series leaves you tense and amazed. I owned this movie already but I just had to have the extra stuff that is included with the 2-disc set. Totally worth it!! I would and have recommended that any lover of horror!! See this movie !!
