THIS IS THE BOOK I HAD NEEDED FOR A LONG TIME. I have been trying for some years to find out how to disassemble some Smith & Wesson Top-Break revolvers. Couldn't find any info anywhere, even in the Smith & Wesson Shop Manuals. But I found it here. With this helpful guide I was able to solve some problems I had with S&W top-break .32s and 38s. I also found their Schofield variations and even the modern reproductions by Uberti, which have some important differences. In addition I found the 1897 Winchester Pump Shotgun - used as the Trench Shotgun in World War One. In here are also their Lever-Actions and many others. While the author falls somewhat short on re-assembly instructions - he says "Assemble in Reverse Order" which is not much help because there are some problems in doing so - he has written an excellent work with diagrams, photos and step-by-step instructions. I have found no other book which even comes close. Even if you're not interested in taking them apart, it's a whole lot of fun just looking at the variations from more than 100 years ago. I heartily recommend it!!!Read full review
