Product Information
Decades after his untimely death, President John F. Kennedy continues to captivate the public imagination. Award-winning producer David Taylor's JFK: A PRESIDENCY REVEALED offers a comprehensive portrait of the life and career of this charismatic leader, drawing on a wealth of never-before-seen material--including Dictaphone recordings, Oval Office phone calls and audiotapes, recently declassified medical documents, seldom-seen home movies, and extremely rare footage of JFK's sole Soviet summit--to illuminate the man and his administration. Hosted by former White House correspondent Frank Sesno, the groundbreaking documentary also features interviews with those who knew Kennedy best, from friends and family members to former cabinet staff, CIA operatives, journalists, historians, and Civil Rights activists. Includes appearances from Ben Bradlee, Edward Kennedy, Oleg Cassini, Robert McNamara, Arthur Schlesinger, Ted Sorenson, former KGB officials, and many more.
Of why JFK was really killed. The book could be titled "The Man Who Should not have been President" More than likely, JFK's security clearance was revoked and article 25 of the constitution was implemented. ( unfit for the office) This despite the fact that he averted WW3 by not listening to his Generals during the Cuban Missle Crisis, who wanted to invade Cuba which surely would have sparked a nuclear war. The fact that he was "lucid" as can be despite all the pain medications show that he needed the medication, for if one's ailments require these drugs, they will not affect one's ability to function. ( no buzz) Despite JFK's treatment of the office behind the scenes, he heroically served the country and should not have been executed for the alleged crimes that resulted in his regicide.Read full review
