Three great classic 50's scifi. The "Attach of the Crab Monsters" is strictly a - There's something bad happening and your in the middle of it - all nonsense and cornball plot, with not so great acting, but what do you want for a B movie. Still entertaining, if you just watch for the fun and flaws. "War of the Satellites" is has more plot, but is short on whys and whatfors. The special effects are on the same level as Crab Monsters, but not as grounded, so the flaws are more expected. "Not of this earth" was a top notch, barring some poor special effects (like the kinda bat/head eater) and very innovative, with many unusual scifi elements, not previously seen in other movies, like the aline transported (now where did Star Trek and Stargate get transporter ideas?)The plot is more plausible, the acting (all good actors) is very good, and the central concept was new and different, and very well done. Also, things suchas the alien woman dying from an errant rabies transfusion, the planet dying from blood disease, and the alien's deadly eyes, were all new concepts. Even the idea of a high pitch sound being disruptive to the alien was new. This was not a monster's got you movie, it was deeper and more sinister. Proof is the color remake, which did not come close to matching the B/W version, when you consider the budget/and time period this movie was made.Read full review
This dvd is excellent value and it was nice to see these three movies, which haven't been available for many years. They are very simplistic even for the 1960's but the story are interesting, the acting varies from movie to movie. Scenes are low budegt and there are no special effects. There is just plain old fashion movie which is straight forward and of a reasonable length. The added features include trailers which run longer than the movie. It is a great set of movies for anyone who is interested in vintage films.

Fans of classic bad sci-fi rejoice. This trio of Roger Corman films gives you the full range of 50's schlock! Full of papier-mâché madness, space ships with lounge recliners, and creepy aliens that are shockingly bad, and GREAT at the same time! MST3K fans will also enjoy these films! I loved them as a kid of the 50s, and laugh out loud and enjoy them as an adult! Great DVD!
The "classic" Roger Corman films are among my all-time favorites, these included! The only thing I didn't like about this (purchase) was the case that the DVD came in. VERY CHEAP! The tabs that hold the "rotating sleeve" were broken off when I received the DVD. Come on people! Spend a couple more cents on a better plastic and make a DVD case that won't fall apart before the consumer receives the product.
