This is really a page-turner that once begun is hard to put down. It's about a railroad, a city, and the men who made them. A story about America at the turn of the Century with just about every emotion you can experience in one book. The dreams, plans, heartbreaks, and the fight to bring into being, one of the greatest architectural feats of the time in which happened. This book has just about everything for a fan of the Pennsylvania Railroad and New York City and the building of NYC Penn Station. You can almost imagine that you were there with each of the characters as they lived and died making their plans and dreams come true. Jill has written well; you will not be disappointed. Rich Holst, Philadelphia, Pa. January 2011.
