As a musician I like to create an unique performance experience. Sund-activated lighting rigs can get expensive. With the Perfect Storm I can hook up whatever inexpensive lights I want, and have them triggered by this unit. Right now I have it by the drums so the lights go to the beat, but I'm considering getting one for everybody in the band so we can hook up our own color-coordinated lights for each instrument!

Great effect. Lots of possibilities. However mine way possibly refurbished? It came out of the box with a quarter sized rust spot breaking through the paint on the front panel. Not worth returning for aesthetics because Ill still use it, but worth noting.

I have been in the pro audio/live sound for twenty years. I was hoping for something of good value. This item is way above expected performance. Rugged rocker switch, rugged enclosure, quality knob. I am currently using it as a light show for Halloween. I have a power strip plugged into it and am running incandescent and led lights. Works flawlessly. Running both types of light gives a different effect. The LEDs are instant and the incandescent fade and are more sensitive to the voltage creating a really neat effect.
