Okay, this product was recommended to me by a bicycle guru whom I trust. So I was expecting something of higher quality that would provide years of trouble free service. Since the chain is yet new and has only seen limited service so far, rating it's longevity or resistance to corrosion, (two of the advertised features of this model chain), would be impossible with such a limited service time. I can comment however as to it's ease of installation and the performance on my bicycle after 100 miles of use. The chain as delivered was too long for my application. This is common-and many chains require shortening or "sizing" to provide proper fitment to any given application. My bicycle is a Fuji Nevada 2.0. It's original chain was rusty and actually failed due to the corrosion issue, so my intention was to obtain a corrosion resistant chain that would last and not fail from fatigue stress or rust. So to shorten the chain I employed a chain breakdown or chain link disassembly tool. It's an inexpensive tool that has worked in the past but when trying to apply pressure to one of the link pins on the appropriate link to shorten the chain my tool wasn't strong enough to force the pin through. I reverted to a tried and true method of grinding the mushroomed link pin head then using my chain tool the pin more readily pushed through the link and I was able to obtain the correct length. The chain was very strong and durable were it's disassembly was concerned as proven by the fact that my tool was inadequate to push the pin out without the additional removal of material. This additional work I felt necessary because I was concerned over galling of the inner race when the pin was forced though the link, possibility creating a poor bearing surface within the inner race of the removed pivot pin. Also after the process of shorting the chain was complete the chain exhibited no ill effects. It was still pliable, supple, but not at all negatively effected by my mechanical processes. The supplied master link worked like a charm. It reported an audible "click" when installed and was easy to use. The chain runs very quietly and shifts without hesitation both up and down. I'm happy with the product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced fix to an aging drive system. Read full review

Converted my mountain bike to an electric bike. This chain has proved to be up to the stress of the single speed conversion and the electric motor.

This is a great chain for someone rides in any weather. I really do not have to worry about the chain rusting if I forget to clean and light oil my chain after riding in wet or snow conditions. I just wish I could a rear free wheel that will not rust. The chain stretches like another chain with use and that is normal.

This is my second KMC chain, the first one had about 1,000 miles on it and was still going strong when my bike got stolen. That one was a 9x3 on an MTB, this one is on a 8x2 road bike. Shifts clean and smooth, no jumping or hesitation.

Chain is very quiet, shifts smoothly. This chain was covered in a thick sticky product that I had to remove before applying a dry lube.
