The original power trucks on the loco do no hold up, which is why I bought this. There is a demand for geared engines. The need for these redesigned trucks will only get larger. Too bad Bachmann appears to have abandoned this part of the market.

A winning replacement for the original trucks! The original factory parts were not very durable, and made of soft plastic. During regular use, they sometimes have small parts break off, or the gears would fail. These new metal items completely replace the pieces that had a high failure rate, and may outlast the rest of the locomotive. Excellent added play value for those of us that prefer odd style engines.
