If you love a mixture of history and mystery, you will enjoy this story. Cook’s use of past and present scenarios is very well done. The historical notes at the end of the story are informative and thought provoking. It is worth having on your shelf as a beach or airport read. It is my favorite Robin Cook story. Enjoy!
Robin Cook is a great author and in this book, Aceptable Risk, his character is a nurse who is searching for her ancestors. She discovers a dead ancestor and a drug called Ultra. She learns of a scientist who falls madly in love with her. The scientist tests the drug on himself and becomes a wild animal. The nurse is the only hope and has not taken Ultra.
Engaging, interesting, compelling story lines you can’t put down. Great author of books from years ago through today.
